In this role, the Senior Captain is responsible for the safe operation of aircraft carrying passengers and the aircraft owner. The qualified candidate will work closely with the Chief Pilot in creating and improving procedures and policies in an exciting and growing environment.
Essential Functions(not limited to)
- Act as PIC or SIC of flights for which scheduled
- Maintain training and currency in compliance with all regulations and policies
- Manage all aspects of the Aircraft Schedule
- Serve as Safety Manager, Training Manager, Standards Pilot, and back-up to Chief Pilot
- Be knowledgeable of Flight Operations Manual (FOM), ensure compliance, and update
- Foster and maintain solid working relations with the aircraft owner and family
- Provide excellent customer service to passengers
- Comply with schedules and other directives governing aircraft operation
- Make decisions necessary to start, delay, or cancel flights and deviate the flight from the planned route or destination when operating conditions dictate
- Establish and maintain liaison with relevant company personnel
- Assist Chief Pilot by remaining aware of the latest developments in the business aviation community including the FARs and other federal, state, local, and foreign regulations affecting operations
- Performs other duties as assigned

Education, Licenses, and Certifications
Required
- 1st Class Medical Certificate
- ATP: Airline Transport Pilot Certificate Airplane Multi Engine Land
- 3,500 hours Total Flight Time
- 2,500 hours Multi-engine (Jet)
- 1,000 hours Pilot-in-Command (Two pilot Jet)
- Current aircraft type rating (Two pilot Jet)
- No aviation-related mishaps where the pilot was deemed responsible
- Current U.S. Passport
Preferred
- ATP: Airline Transport Pilot and CFI (Certified Flight Instructor)
- 4-year degree
- 5,000 hours Total Flight Time
- 2,500 hours multi-engine (Jet)
- 2,000 hours Pilot-in-Command (Jet)
- Falcon 2000 Easy II type rating
- No mishaps or flight violations
- IS-BAO flight department experience
- International experience
Experience
Required
- 10 years of proven safe flying experience
Preferred
- 15 years of proven safe flying experience both domestic and international
Work Context
- Required to work irregular work patterns and unsociable hours, including weekends and holidays
- Must be able to work in an industrial environment where there is minimal discomfort due to extreme heat, dust or noise
- Works under minimal supervision
- Must be able to sit, stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb, and crawl in small spaces
- Must be able to use hands, arms, ears, and eyes to touch, carry, hear, see
- Must be able to do extensive walking
- Must be able to climb multiple flights of stairs, climb ladders, traverse scaffolding
